CITY OF INDUSTRY, CALIF. – August 4, 2010 – DXG, one of the fastest growing digital camcorder manufacturers in the U.S, today announced that select styles of its high definition, affordable pocket camcorders are now available to Canadian consumers. The company also announced that it will be opening a new distribution warehouse in Toronto, which will bring a number of jobs to the local communities. DXG Introduces Canada to Affordable, High-Definition, Internet-Video Ready Camcorders
DXG designs and manufactures an extensive line of affordable, high-definition and Internet video-ready camcorders and is now making its products available in the Canadian market. The Luxe Collection is the first product line available now with additional camcorder models, such as the sporty, all-weather DXG-125V, to be available in the coming months.
DXG is initially selling three designs and five color options from its Luxe line – the DXG-Riviera quilted series in white, black, deep red and baby blue; the DXG-Paisley design in purple; and the DXG-Kensington tartan design in blue. All Luxe products record video in high definition (720p), take up to 8-megapixel still photos, capture up to 8 hours of video on a 16GB card (sold separately), and feature a 3-inch LCD screen on a slim1½-inches-thick casing. The camcorders also ship with a matching clutch case, HDMI cable, AV/USB cable, and video editing software.
“DXG’s core focus in on making high-quality video technology accessible and affordable to mainstream consumers by creating intuitively designed, compact camcorders that meet individual tastes and lifestyles,” said Paul Goldberg, senior vice president of sales and marketing at DXG USA. “We are thrilled to introduce Canada to the DXG brand with our Luxe Collection line of stylish camcorders, and look forward to rolling out additional models, such as our sporty, all-weather DXG-125V in the coming months.”
DXG’s new distribution warehouse will be located in the Toronto area and will handle all order fulfillments made within Canada. DXG will also be creating a separate, Canada-specific web site and online store in 2011.
